W5D3
5 warm, 20 run, 5 cool
I was sort of meh about the run this morning. I was a little excited to do the 20 min but I had slept in just a little and so the sun was already up and it is somewhere between cool and humid. bleh.
But, I started out, got my Chubby Jones podcast on and went for it. I ran for 16 minutes straight until I had to pause the cast and walk/breathe for 90 seconds or so. Then I started up the cast and finished the last 4 minutes. FGS all the way but at least it was a shuffle and not a crawl or lay down.
I'm actually looking forward to W6!
On an interesting note - My most successful runs lately have been with very little in the way of breakfast. The last 4 have been on a single piece of sausage or less. Since it seems to have been working, I'm going to stick with it.
Someone posted this set of breathing tips/exercises on the FB C25K board. http://m.active.com/running/articles/breathing-tips-for-new-runners.htm I think my running will take on a completely different feel and allow me to actually recognize a second wind or "zone" if I can improve my breathing.
Go Ann!!
