W4D5+
I love running in the morning. It is light enough at 7 to see what I need to see but cars still need their headlights to see me. And then, by the time I am cooling down, the sun is coming up and it's like a little celebration as I walk home.
The weather is between temps these days. Long pants, long sleeve shirt but a stocking cap is just too much at the end. My entire head is wet. Soon I'll be going out in shorts and my legs will light the way.
I'm liking the route I've finally settled on. All the way to Fence Line, return, up Abilene, across Smokehouse, down Wagon Train.
Kept it going through the whole run. I had to pause Chubby's podcast while I waited to cross Beckett and I slowed to a walk during the last 5 min at Smokehouse when a car seemingly veered toward me on the side of the road. Apparently she needed to speak to the (small?) person in the backseat but she aimed the car right at me and it put me slightly off my game. Weird. And a tiny bit scary. I sped (?!) back up and finished pretty strong on the downhill run.
We leave for the weekend. Should I try to run while we're away? The amount of stress I put into figuring my routes tells me, "no." I'll pick it up again Monday morning and try W5.
